Subjects of the previous symposiums:

The European Documentary Film Symposiums (EDFS) in Latvia has a long history.

Since 1977, the International Documentary Film Symposiums have been held biannually. Symposiums gather outstanding documentary film theorists and filmmakers, in order to analyse the trends of development and leading problems of this art form.
