Fiction, family film, 90 min, 35 mm, colour
Film for the whole family based on widely known writers Vizma Belsevica novel "Bille". Film breaks the stereotypes of idealistic relationship between children and parents. It tells about the pre-war Latvia, the period of late 30s, about the little girl Bille, whose sensitive heart and view of life sometimes can not understand the life of adults. Her adventures are colourful, but sometimes confused and painful.
Together with Bille and colourful everyday historical background we will notice that human relationships and dreams of children are just the same of today. Film is going to be made black and white or brownish as in pre-war photographs. Thereby we will create the environment for different characters and turn back many pages in history book for spectators to live it through.
