Based on the story by Vizma Belsevica. The main characters of the film are two elderly ladies - active "romantic" Pauline and passive "realist" Lizbeth. As the time is coming to pass away, they decide to earn some money and buy each a dying dress. When they have got money and dresses are made, Pauline wants to see how she will look lying in the coffin. They decide to ask a photographer to take a picture. Just imagine the old man's big astonishment and shock when the deceased in reply to his compliment gets up and starts talking. And the film ends unexpectedly - not with a funeral but with a wedding.
