Founded in January 2000, EHO FILMA specializes in production of documentary and feature films and audio and video advertisements, as well as provides film-related services to foreign film companies interested in executing their projects in the Baltic countries.

A major example of film-related services has been EHO FILMA's cooperation with Werner Herzog in executing the biggest film project ever in Latvia. Werner Herzog shot part of his new feature film "INVINCIBLE" in Latvia (Riga and Kuldiga) in the spring of 2000; the film's premiere was at this year's Venice Film Festival.

EHO FILMA also ensured successful shooting of several episodes of this film in the territory of Lithuania. Another major cooperation project has been shooting "The World Heritage in Riga", a documentary on Latvia and Riga, director Hiromi Kusaka, in cooperation with Japanese television TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) and UNESCO project "The World Heritage".

At the beginning of January 2002, a contract between EHO FILMA and Marianna Films Oy (Finland) is signed about a co-production of a feature film "HONEYBABY" (director: Mika Kaurismaki). Several other film projects are underway, including couple of documentaries and several short feature films.
